Introduction

Establishing an inclusive work environment that values and capitalizes on individual differences, promoting equality, and ensuring equal chances for all. Whereas people with different backgrounds, colors, ethnicities, genders, ages, sexual orientations, and disabilities are all considered diverse.

 

Diversity management encompasses various aspects of HRM, including recruitment, hiring, training, performance management, and promotion. 

Diversity management includes recruitment, hiring, training, performance management, and promotion of human resource management dimensions.

 





Benefits of managing diversity


Higher financial performance

According to (Prpic, Nika, 2022) the company’s financial performance significantly increases by having diverse teams on board.




Innovation & Creativity

A diverse workforce improves innovation by bringing together a wide range of individuals who have different perspectives, experiences, abilities, and insights to handle challenges.

As the world continues to evolve, organizations that value diversity and encourage innovation are the ones that differentiate themselves from competitors (Sutton, Christine, 2023).

 

Better Decision making

Organizations can create a culture that enables better business decisions by embracing diversity.

Employees in diverse organizations gather from a wider range of experiences and perspectives (Larson, Erik, 2017). This may enable customers to make more accurate decisions, which can benefit the company itself.

 

 

Faster Problem Solving

Employees from different experiences and skills can contribute to problem-solving in various ways. Diverse teams leverage their different ways to resolve problems faster and deliver more solutions.

 

 

Employee Retention

Employees are satisfied and stay with an organization longer when they feel appreciated and valued. Consequently, organizations with more diverse workforces have lower employee turnover rates.

 

Better hiring of talents

People will be attracted to and prefer to work with values in a career environment that is customizable when an organization has a diverse management team. This will make hiring talent easier.

Human resource strategies should acknowledge the role of diversity and inclusion in talent management (Chellappa, Srikant, 2023).



Conclusion

Diverse workforces are highly beneficial to organizations. Businesses can achieve a competitive advantage and increase productivity by valuing individual uniqueness. By establishing a fair and secure workplace where everyone has access to equal opportunities, diverse management helps employees. Since most workplaces have a variety of cultural backgrounds, organizations must learn how to adjust in order be successful.
